Tracey Stabback, OCT, B.Mus, B.Ed, is a performer, composer, and teacher who hails from Dartmouth, NS and has attended Mount Allison University, Neptune Theatre School, and the University of Ottawa. For over twenty-five years Tracey has been performing, conducting choirs, and teaching private and group music lessons to all ages. Her students are successful participants in the Kiwanis Music Festival, RCM Examinations, and throughout the community as performers in theatre, choirs, and talent shows. A number of her students have been admitted to the Vocal Program at Canterbury High School (Ottawa) and to University Music Programs in Ontario and the Maritimes. Tracey’s favourite roles include Mother Abbess in The Sound of Music and Second Lady in The Magic Flute.
Tracey is a vocal clinician and workshop instructor, and maintains an active home studio and tutoring centre. She sings with the Isabel Voices and is a full member of the National Association of Teachers of Singing. As someone who enjoys both teaching and making music, Tracey continues to create new music for a variety of instruments.
Co-teacher for Summer Camps 2024: Ariel Zaichick
Originally from Mississauga, Ontario, Ariel Zaichick has over 20 years in classical voice training, and currently teaches privately at her home studio, Music By Ariel (www.musicbyariel.com). After graduating from Queen’s University with her B.Mus in Voice, Ariel has made Kingston her home, teaching at Leahurst College, Sistema Kingston, and Bottle Tree Productions. Ariel sings with the Isabel Voices and as Soprano Section Leader with the Melos Choir & Period Instruments Ensemble.
Splitting her time between teaching and performing, stage highlights for Ariel include Olympia in “Les contes d’Hoffman” (Midwest Institute of Opera), Maria in “West Side Story in Concert” (Queen’s University Orchestra) as well as intensives such as The Russian Opera Workshop (Philadelphia), Druid City Opera Workshop (Alabama), and the Acting Opera Intensive (NYC).
